Pam Smith - Candidate for Llanidloes

My name is Pam Smith and I am pleased to have been selected as your Welsh Conservative Council Candidate for the Local Government Elections in May.

I have lived in Short Bridge Street, Llanidloes for more than forty years and have served on the Llanidloes Town Council since I was elected in 2008. Until my retirement last June, I was employed for 27 years as attendant at the Llanidloes Museum.

Four of my sons were educated at Llandiloes High School and I gained a BSc with the Open University in 1994. I always shop locally and support small independent businesses for which the town is justifiably famous.

Should I be fortunate enough to be elected as your County Councillor, I would ensure that all residents of Llanidloes have a voice at County Hall. Affordable housing for local people and the continuation of Day Care provision at Maes y Wennol are amongst my present concerns and priorities.
