The Welsh Conservatives kicked off their Montgomeryshire Welsh Assembly Campaign for Russell George with a Launch Dinner for almost 200 guests at the Elephant and Castle Hotel, Newtown.
Keynote speaker Lord Hague of Richmond entertained the audience with stories from Westminster followed by a vote of thanks by Cllr Simon Baynes, Welsh Assembly Candidate for Clwyd South. Cllr Gwynfor Thomas amazed us with his outstanding auctioneering skills and Cllr Russell George rounded the evening off with grateful thanks to Carys, Ruth and Avril for organising the evening, the staff of the Hotel for creating a superb meal, and the guests for their huge generosity.
